  CODE OF CONDUCT & DISCIPLINE

With a view to maintain necessary discipline including partiality on the college campus, it has been made mandatory for all the guardian prospective students and their parent a code of conduct has been formulated. At the time of admission it is required that an undertaking be given as a token acceptance of this code of conduct a form of which is enclosed herewith.

It is mandatory for all the students to strictly adhere to the code of conduct and to the rules of the Institution given below:

I hereby declare that I am aware of the code of conduct for Pharmacy students. Being a student of Sri Raghavendra College of Pharmacy, I assure full compliance to the same in the following manner:

• I will maintain a high level of discipline, dignified behavior and conduct in the campus.

• I will respect the Principal, Faculty Members, Library Staff, Office Staff other supporting staff failing which disciplinary action may be taken by the Principal.

• I will obey all the Instructions of the Principal & other Faculty Members.

• I will complete & submit all the Assignments given by the Teaching Staff within the given time frame.

• I will attend all the classes regularly. I am aware of the fact that a minimum of 80% of attendance is
required in theory as well as Practical Classes (as per the norms of the honorable Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore) to be able to appear for the University examinations. I am also aware that I will not be allowed to take the annual exam in case of attendance shortage in any subject, either in theory or in practical classes.

• I am aware that the college will arrange to send periodical reports to my parents regarding punctuality of attending classes, performance in Sessional Exams and assignments and any Incidence of Indiscipline. I am also aware of the fact that the Principal may ask my Parents to meet him in case of any kind of Indiscipline on my part.

• I am aware that any kind of usage of Mobile Phones is strictly prohibited in the campus during working hours. If I am found using a Mobile Phone, the same will be Confiscated and will not be returned to me.

• I will conduct myself in a disciplined manner with my classmates and other students in the SREIS Campuses.

• I will ensure personal hygiene everyday.

• I will ensure cleanliness while using any of the facilities provided by the college.

• I will handle the library books in a gentle manner. I will co-operate with the librarian in maintaining the arrangement of books in the library.

• I will report any breakages in the Laboratory promptly.

• I will always come to the college only in formal clothes.

• I will obey all the rules and regulations of the hostel and be obedient to the hostel warden.

• I will maintain disciplined behavior in theory as well as in practical classes and also in the free time or leisure time in the campus.

• I will not involve myself in any sort of mischievous activity like Ragging etc. either Directly or Indirectly failing which, I am punishable by the Principal.In such a case, I will obey any decision taken by the Principal.

• I am aware that I will not be allowed to attend any campus placement programmes due to a past record of Indiscipline (either Directly or Indirectly) on my Part.

Pharmacist's Oath


• I Swear by the code of Ethics of Pharmacy council Of India in relation with the community and shall act as an integral part of health care team.

• I shall uphold the laws and standards governing my profession.

• I shall strive to perfect and enlarge my knowledge to contribute to the advancement of pharmacy and public health.

• I shall follow the system which I consider best for Pharmaceutical care and counseling of patients.

• I shall endeavour to discover and manufacture drugs of quality to alleviate sufferings of humanity.

• I shall hold in confidence the knowledge gained about the patients in connection with my profession practice and never divulge unless compelled to do so by the law.

• I shall associate with organizations having their objectives for betterment of the Profession of Pharmacy and make contribution to carry out the work of those organizations.

• While I continue to keep this oath unviolated, may it be granted to me to enjoy life and the practice of pharmacy respected by all, at all times!

• Should I trespass and violate this oath, may the reverse be my lot.
